Testing Tech presents on the next H323 and SIP interoperability event the test suite of the ETSI EP TIPHON for showing conformity to the SIP RFC (bis4). Experts from ETSI and Testing Technologies will be present on site to make the test system available to anyone wishing to run their SIP implementation against the ETSI test suite. The Winter 2001 Interoperability Test Event is hosted by TTC in Kobe, Japan from 3rd to 7th December 2001.
Testing Technologies presents at the 2nd IPv6 SIP Plugtest (19-23 November 2001) in Cannes, France its SIP test suite and discusses the advantages of having those tests defined with TTCN-3.
ETSI decided for Testing Tech products for standard development. The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) aims to increase the quality of their TTCN-3 test standardization activities by useing Testing Techs TTanalyze.
iX - the German magazine for professional information technologies - features a TTCN-3 article by I. Schieferdecker and T. Vassiliou-Gioles in its October 2001 issue . The article describes the concepts and language features of TTCN-3 and demonstrates its use for a real example. This iX issue specifically emphasises the need and importance for systematic testing of software systems with a standardized test methodology.
Testing Technologies presented the TTCN-3 technology, its capabilities and potential to large audiences at the 21st IFIP WG 6.1 International Conference on Formal Techniques for Networked and Distributed Systems FORTE, August 2001, Cheju Island, Korea and at the Third IFIP WG 6.1 International Working Conference on Distributed Applications and Interoperable Systems DAIS, October 2001, Krakow, Poland.
TTCN-3 and the tools found much interest. New contacts could be established.
The SDL Forum 2001 was held in Copenhagen, June 2001. It is the most important event in the calendar for anyone involved in SDL and related languages and technology like MSC and TTCN. The SDL Forum Society that runs the Forum is a non-profit organisation to promote and develop these languages. Testing Technologies gave a tool demonstration within the tools session of the SDL Forum 2001 to further spread the knowledge on TTCN-3 and the TT Tool Series by Testing Technologies.
At the ASCENT seminar on "Testing of Component Based Software Systems" by VTT Electronics, June 14, 2001 in Oulu, Finland, we demonstrated our tooling for TTCN-3. Before, presentations on the basic concepts of TTCN-3 and of the TTCN-3 Runtime Interface were given. Discussions on a cooperation between VTT Electronics and FOKUS/Testing Technologies are progressing.
Testing Technologies gives a post conference tutorial on the IIR SIP Congress on 24th May 2001 in Stockholm: SIP Testing: Implementing Test and Quality Management of SIP.The tutorial will provide an in-depth hands-on exploration of SIP testing.
Testing Technologies presents on the SIP Interoperability Event first tests of their SIP Conformance Test Suite. They have been developed using TTCN-3. Therefore they allow a platform and implementation independent definition of test procedures and test campaigns. Using the graphical representation format of TTCN-3 enables the user to document tests in a very efficient manner.
At the 9th ATM Stammtisch Testing Technologies presented to the Berlin network experts community and users the new, modern and standardized test technology TTCN-3. The new possibilities of TTCN-3 for systematic and rigorous testing has produced interest and led to positive response.
Testing Technologies achieved the 16th place at the StartUp contest in Berlin. Hand-in-hand with this score are contacts to interested investors. Talks are still in progress.
Testing Technologies supports by order of The Open Group, UK participants of the CORBA v2.1 branding program. Support and Maintenance will be given for the test suites VSOrb ad VSJorb that are part of the branding program.
