Berlin/Copenhagen, June 20, 2002 - Cinderella (Ltd.), Denmark,
provider of SDL software development tools, and Testing Technologies
GmbH, Germany, developer and provider of TTCN-3-based testing
tools, announce the signing of a strategic co-operation agreement.
The aim of the agreement is to promote the integration of SDL
environments in the TTCN-3 environment.This will provide an
efficient means of monitoring tests for correctness and enable
systems analysis and validation during the systems design phase.
The agreement was announced by the two companies at the 3rd
International SDL and MSC Workshop held at Aberystwyth, Great
Britain from 24. - 26. June 2002. A first prototype of a test
environment was unveiled during the Workshop.
Cinderella Ltd. is the second largest provider of software
development tools based on SDL, the standardized graphical
specification language. Cinderella will now integrate its SDL
software environment with tools developed by Testing Technologies,
thus endowing it with full testing capability. SDL tools can
then be used both for the development and analysis of systems
in the telecommunications sphere and for embedded systems.
They will also play a major role in other areas such as the
development of protocol stacks and services in mobile communications
systems.
Commenting on the agreement, Anders Olsen, CEO of Cinderella,
said "Cinderella has decided on this move as the planned
integration means that its tools will be able to support both
systems design and systems testing. This will deliver the kind
of functionality Cinderella customers have come to expect,
the functionality that the increasing range of capabilities
of the new TTCN-3 test language and Testing Technologies tools
are particularly good at enhancing." Theofanis Vassiliou-Gioles,
CEO of Testing Technologies comments, "The strategic co-operation

commitment to deliver testing tools that provide a thoroughly

generation as well as automated test execution."
The integrated SDL and TTCN-3 based software environment is
offered by both companies and will be on the market in the
3rd quarter 2002.
