Dear Customer,  

a new maintenance release of TTworkbench, the TTCN-3 IDE, is now available for download. The new version number is TTworkbench 1.1.0. The release brings many feature enhancements for TTworkbench.


Please Note:

This version of TTworkbench is not compatible with current versions of our TTsuite product line and MOST FCat support. You will get informed separately if the respective TTsuite product/Language support is available.


What is New in General?

  • Equal version numbers for all TTworkbench variants
  • New version number 1.1.0
    From now on, all TTworkbench variants (Basic, Professional and Enterprise) will bear the same version number.


TTCN-3 CL Editor Enhancements

  • Perpetual syntax checking
  • TTCN-3 project navigator enhancements
    • Fixed "link with editor" issue
    • "Source folder" setting adapts to moving and deleting of source folders
    • Drag & drop with TTCN-3 source folders fixed
    • "Set as Main Module" action in context menu
    • Main module now has a decoration, i.e. it has an own icon
  • Preferences for automatic closing of brackets and strings
  • Validation button added


GFT Editor Enhancements

  • Support of TTCN-3 Edition 3 (2005) module parameters


TTCN-3 Compiler (TTthree) Enhancements

  • Improvement of error handling (accordant to the analyzing phases)
  • T3Doc generation from command line


Test Execution (TTman) Enhancements

The main visible enhancements of this release concern the test execution.

  • New campaign handling
    • Test campaigns can be composed directly from the compiled modules
      • Project-wise, i.e. select test cases from all modules of a project
      • Storage of campaigns and parameter settings in campaign loader files (CLF)
      • MLF files are now obsolete
    • Default campaigns can be generated from the TTCN-3 modules in addition
  • New test campaign wizard
    • Campaigns spanning multiple modules
    • Multiple runs of the same test case within a campaign
    • Definition of actions on fail of a test case (proceed, stop, retry)
    • Definition of number of retries
  • Execution progress (percentages) during campaign run
  • Support of complex module parameters
  • Test report generation
    • PDF format
    • Pie chart with percentual results analysis
  • Unloading of test campaigns


Test Debugging (TTdebug) Enhancements

  • Variable values in a suspended test suite can be changed
  • Watchpoints: automatically stop if the value of a specific variable has been changed


ASN.1 Support

  • X.682 constraints validation included in compilation process


Update of TTworkbench Basic/Professional/Enterprise

You can download TTworkbench with your already given Reference ID:

  • Via Update Site
    • Choose the menu item ‘Help’ in TTworkbench and follow ‘Software Updates’/
      'Find and Install'/'Search for updates of the currently installed features'
    • Enter 'TTwb' as user name and your TTworkbench Reference ID as password
    • Choose TTworkbench product
    • Select TTworkbench
    • Accept license and update files

Please Note:

  • Existing TTCN-3 modules have to be recompiled
  • Users of TTworkbench 64bit have to use SUN's 64bit JVM 1.6x for Ant execution (alternatively IBM or BEA's JRockit 64bit JVMs)
  • Developers of test adaptors have to use new TTworkbench Ant properties: in Ant build files ttthree.aux has to be used instead of ttthree.home
