Dear Customer,

a new maintenance release of TTworkbench, version 1.1.7, is now available for download.
This release brings complete new features - a migration manager to ease the migration if interfaces change, and an extract TTCN-3 wizard for extraction of parts of a TTCN-3 test suite. This release also brings many feature improvements and bugfixes, as well as new plugins for CAN and Ethernet.

Please Note:

TTworkbench 1.1.7 is based on NEW Eclipse 3.4.1. Thus, an update from 1.1.6 to 1.1.7 using the built-in update manager is not possible. A fresh installation into a new folder is required.

With the TTworkbench release in June, the logging interface TciTLProvided was deprecated. It was replaced by the new standard compliant interface TciTLProvided321TT. Support for the interface TciTLProvided and all deprecated logging methods will be discontinued with this release.

What's New?

TTCN-3 Core Language Editor (CL Editor)

  • Refactoring migration manager to keep track of and to react to interface changes. Details in section '5.3.18.3. Analyze Interface Changes' of TTworkbench User's Guide.
  • Extract TTCN-3 wizard for recursive selection and extraction of parts of a test suite. Details in section '5.3.24. Extract TTCN-3 Wizard' of TTworkbench User's Guide.

TTCN-3 Compiler (TTthree)

  • Local enum values do not shadow imported enum values anymore
  • If strict standard compliance is enforced, "explicit omit" is set as default for optional fields (TTCN-3 edition 3.4.1)
  • Better rebuild processing of up-to-date jar files (especially for IDL)
  • Support for default alternatives in interleave

Test Execution (TTman)

    • Now supports real OpenXML document creation for Microsoft Excel format
    • New design and improved functionality for verdict filtering and sorting
    • New possibility for verdict sorting: sort by name
    • Improved page layout (table, binding margin)
    • Improved performance, especially for big logs
    • New 'verdict cause' (TTCN-3 edition 3.4.1) integrated into report
  • Command Line Execution (ConsoleManager)
    • The CLF test case attributes Runs, ActionOnFail (stop, retry, continue), Retries are now taken into account also in the ConsoleManager

TTCN-3 Debugger (TTdebug)

  • Debugging now is disabled in the preferences per default
  • When debugging is disabled, the debug button stays enabled and, when pressed, offers to enable debugging and reload the campaign

Runtime Plugin Development Environment (RPDE)

  • Generation of external function stubs for external function plugins

TTplugin ASN.1

  • Treatment of classes and class field references in TTber

TTplugin XSD

  • Bugfix for union encoding

New! TTplugin CAN (port plugin)

  • Multiple test components and multiple-port mapping
  • Freely combinable with additional test access (TTplugins)

New! TTplugin Ethernet (port plugin)

  • Ethernet test system interface port forwards the payload of MAC frames to a mapped test component port
  • Support of multiple physical interface devices
  • Each mapped port has an own profile defining default MAC sender and destination address, payload type and physical interface used
  • Profiles can be changed during test case execution
  • Filters on sender, destination and payload type
  • Multiple components can be mapped on one Ethernet port
  • No Java coding efforts
  • Standards-based testing with TTCN-3
